A 24th Tradition

My mom has a 24th of July party tradition with the Kemp family. It is tons of fun. Awesome food. Lots of things to do and great company.

Every year we have the "Winchester Hills" miniature golf tournament. It's pretty intense. My brother John, sister Meredith and I set it up. It's a dollar to play with no limit on how many times you can play. Winner takes the pot. Some people play for a good chunk of the party time. There is usually over a hundred dollar pot by the end of the night.

This year we had 2 new holes. The first one was created because I have a new favorite movie.... Cars. We had my dad slice small tires in half and we put little toys from the movie all over.

My favorite addition was the "Haunted" house. My dad built it and I painted it. The funniest part about it was Andrew wanted me to make a sign that said "this house was NOT painted by Big Fish Painting." The lines weren't perfect so he didn't want his name associated with it at all.

The kids had a grand old time on the water slide pool thing. How about all of those kids?!?! It makes for interesting and crazy family parties. That's not even all of them. We were missing a couple of kids for the picture.

Of course my little buddy had to get in and out in a different place than anyone else. "Oh is that the spot where you are supposed to get in and out? I think it will take a different route then."
