Smart little stinker.

I wish I had time to write about all of the hilarious things Warren does. He really makes me laugh all day long. This one is so funny, I had to write it down.....


Nap time at our house is a little different than some. I usually wait until Warren tells me he's sleepy to put him down. Once he tells me he's sleepy he goes into his own room, climbs into his own crib and goes to sleep. He rarely puts up a fight to go to sleep. It has worked for us because it is usually the same time of day and it isn't uncommon for him to sleep for 4 hours in the day and still 12-13 at night. He is so intense during the day when he's awake that he needs more sleep than most kids.

The other day I wanted to make sure he went down for a nap at noon. We had plans that afternoon and I wanted him to be pleasant so I was trying to force a nap which never is good at our house. I put him in his crib and knew he wouldn't go right down. I heard him climb out of his crib and start to play. I figured it wouldn't hurt to let him play for a few minutes, so I let it go. About 5 minutes later I heard him jumping in his bed. Good, I thought. At least he's back in his bed and may attempt to take a nap. After 10 minutes of him jumping in his bed I thought I'd better go in his room and tell him to stop jumping and go to sleep. So i made it up the stairs and the second I put my hand on the door nob I heard a "plop". It was Warren dropping down in his bed, he pulled his blanket up over him and WAS FAKING HE WAS ASLEEP!!!!! What kind of 2 year old does that? It was so funny I had to leave the room to laugh. He is such a riot.
